About us
End Climate Silence is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping the media cover the climate crisis with the urgency it deserves. Mobilizing through digital activism, we focus on all media platforms—from television networks to print outlets to online content providers to radio programs. We are motivated by the awareness that climate change poses a grave danger to humanity and we must transition from fossil fuels to safe energy immediately in order to preserve a planet that supports human life. Our mission relies on the premise that the news media has a professional responsibility to cover climate change accurately and because the climate emergency has begun, remaining silent about climate change in stories about its causes and effects is a form of climate denial.
End Climate Silence is a member of USCAN, the United States arm of the Climate Action Network.
